snowflake eel during cycle????

    i was trying krill first but he didnt take to it so i picked up silver sides and he scarfed down an entire 1 hole. should i be breaking them up? and ill buy some different kinds of food next week for him mabe squid or something.

    I thought that too (being bulletproof).

    K+ for being the odd man out and sharing information / experience that is unpopular and against the common grain here in this thread.

    I use the thawed (frozen) krill pieces, the second it hits the water with my forceps, he's after'em!

    Try the squid blocks, I can manually pipette them into his mouth!

    well he was playing shy last night and im still not ready to get bit yet and move some rock lol so ill try again tonight.

    Try to get some tongs or long forceps, or long tweezers for feeding. This is best, I hold it under water, and the eel will come out just from the "smell" and will track it. I usually tap the side of her body/head and then she hones in and then its all gobble!

    I also make my lionfish chase it this way. Trust me, the little piggy needs the exercise! ;)

    hes eatn like a cham.p ill hold off ona.dding him till the cycles over shouldnt b long now amonia is almost gone :). i used an old nasty filter pad :) worked lika charm
