    Hmm, dont intend to go against the grain here but I had a snowflake in a 55g, and I kinda think that a 40b would be better than what I had mine in, for the larger footprint. They do get aggressive with age but it shouldn't be a problem if its the only thing in your aquarium. They do like to try to escape though. Too many ells end up dried up on the carpet the next morning.

    lol. i ended up getting rid of mine because the novelty of having an eel wore off fast and he was more trouble than he was worth. But i do think a 40b is big enough for only an eel

    It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    I had one in a 120 gallon, after getting bit 3 times I decided I was so over it. They really do not do much, just literally hang out in the rocks. Cool animals in the wild or public aquariums.

    bet that was a PITA to catch, I had to take all the rock out of my 55 just to catch mine. and they are sooo slimy and wiggly. Jump right out of the net. I was never brave enough to feed mine by hand because he would always bite my feeding tongs.
