What can i put in with my snowflake eel? I had clownfish before i introduced him to the tank & thought they were too big for him to eat- but he tried & only managed to kill them...

I have seen them housed with lionfish and one large yellow tang but it depends on the size of the tank and then again even if the fish is large he will turn on it one day and end the deal so I figure a lionfish is the best roommate for him..

i also had a lion fish that died a couple days after i got it- it liked to hide under my one rock so i didn't think anything of it sitting there before i left for work- i came home & it was in the same spot- lifted up the rock & it floated to the top... (water tested fine the day before)

are there any cleaners that eels don't try eating?

I have a ribbon eel and he is nowhere the same as a snowflake. My ribbon cant even be kept with small reef fish. You can keep him with a mag float. LOL

My snowflake was 14" long and about a quarter in diameter when i traded it in after seeing a full size on in a tank. When I had mine, all it cared about was all the inverts, never bothered the fish.

That said, tank size will make a difference and what size it gets will make a difference. A full size snowflake can swallow a medium size fish if so had the urge.
