snowflake eel

    i am getting a 50 gallon tank of craiglists i didnt want it but it was to good of a deal lol.;D

    would this be ok i was going to put him in there with a dwarf lion fish.:confused:

    and how many pounds of liverock should i put in i am not going to put anything else in except for the eel and the lion.

    Yeah, they should be fine together. Just watch them during feeding as the lionfish is often the slower eater. The general rule of thumb is about 1-2 pounds of rock per gallon. The eel likes to make burrows so make sure that when you put the rock in, you push it all the way through the sand until it touches the glass bottom to make it more stable.

    You should be ok with those two. I had both in a tank for over (2) years with no issues other then feeding (the eel was a pig). I think you will really like the Snowflake they have a lot of personality. Both are pretty messy eaters so you may want to add a little more LR then the norm and frequent water changes.

    I would feed the eel everything but fish (silver sides etc.) In the wild their nature diet does not include fish, so as long as he is well feed they will be great together.
