With the Q tank, one can do water changes and use the ammo loc to control the ammonia so water changes aren't constant.
I like to use ClorAm-X which is what the shippers use when the fish are bagged.

Your fish is still going to go crazy as long as you a high levels of ammonia. How old is your tank?

Actually, you don't need all that in quarantine and you don't want to contaminate rocks or filters with disease, parasites or meds. You can set it up with new water with the same salinity and give it a day or two to get to the same temp and match the pH to your main tank. With no filtration you need a powerhead to give some water movement. You can also use an aerating stone and use Ammolock every two days to bind up any ammonia, etc. Do weekly water changes.

About My Display Tank. The Clownfish Passed On Yesturday While I Was At Work. Everything Else Seems To Be Doing Fine. Why Would Adding Cycle Or A Bacteria Supplement Be Bad. I Had Cycled My Tank And Then When I Added The Fish My Ammonia Went Up. I Have To Do My Test Today But If It's Still Up There What Do I Do. Will A Water Change Improve The Condition Or Make It Worse? Also Should I Condition The Ro Water I Buy? I Really Need To Fix This Problem, I Don't Want To Lose Whats Left.
