I have said this on other thread before:

    -------------
One of the ways to tell if the glass is tempered or not

    Get items below:
    -a pair of polarized glasses
    -a laptop computer

If you look through the back window of your car, you see some strange pattern with the polarized glasses. All the car back glass is tempered.

Now make the computer desktop all white. ie: empty window on your browser. Place it inside of the empty tank that you wanna drill. Take a look at the display through the glass that you wanna drill. If you see some strange looking wave pattern, the glass is tempered.

This is only one of the tricks, its ALWAYS a good idea to call the mfg.

    tank lighting?

so i want to do a retro fit of some sort as i dont want a canopy.. this is what is thinking..
    72 in tank....
60 inch wall self above tank with a 48inch 4 bulb lighting fixture under it....
extra 12 on self will be for ballest or what ever else is needed..
what 4 bulbs i dunno was just looking at those led ones but i dunno need advice there..
the reson so small of lights is that part of the tank is where i want my corals really as the other side is going to gradully get shallow where i want mangroves on the dt growing.. thats what the other extra 12 inch is for..

can any one tell if this sounds like a good plan ill do a little note pad sketch to better show what i mean..

So I just got a huge wet and dry with huge overflow and return pump return hose dull of ruble. And the worse thing happens it cracks at return bulk head. ! I'm so upset right now! Can I KB weld it I just put almost a whole tube of aquarium safe silicon on it. I guess I got my moneys worth with pump and overflow but damn! I thought I was almost ready lol

So filled up with water to test it out could not resit and the overflow is not sucking in water to drian tank? Why

Could that be why? The broken piece of rubber?

Next drain tank once I'm sure the wet and dry is not leaking.

Then paint stand and fix her up a lil bit more.

There is a hose with the overflow kit that fits on the part inside the tank and goes onto the part outside the tank. You take a small hose and put it in the tube until it reaches the top center. Make sure both sides pf the overflow has water in it. When you turn on the return pump suck fast so the water can complete the siphon on the tank.
