    Ditto :),plus you'll go through the algae phase sooner or later as the tank matures.I agree with the "wasting electricity" but i find it very hard to have a tank running and not being able to watch it.

    So I am going on what I beloved is third week and this is what its looking like. My ammonia levels are fine my nitrite level is up there. But my nitrate are at about 5. So what u think? Brown I think is going away but I think its just me lol

    The brown is diatoms they will go away once the silica is gone

    Thanks. Question I am assuming I should wait untilled the brown is gone before adding fish right?

    It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    You can add fish when the cycle has completed, whether or not the diatoms have gone.

    So tank is good now and I was thinking of buying this small lion its only 15 bucks and in a tank close by I know tank is to small but I plan on upgrading soon anyways

    I'm also thinking of doing an all lps tank. Now that I've been reading. I like it.and would be a good start can any one give me a link I can read on lps tanks and care.

    Lion fish are beautiful, but if you want corals or other fish in your current tank I would wait. They are often acquired as a curiosity because of their beauty and behaviors, after a new owners gets insight into their growth and feeding patterns it becomes buyers remorse, except for those up to the challenge and willing to limit their systems inhabitants to meet the needs of one fish.

    My tank is month old this week and still my nirate 2 is still purple any reason why? My ammonia is 0 .camara I put a damsel in there at least? Looks like I can't. Went to store to check water. Guess ill just wait it out. Patience huh lol
