Last I talked to Leroy, about a month ago he said Sally Jo was doing really well after her surgery. They found out she had a small piece of bone fragment somewhere along the spinal cord. I dont remember where exactly but I believe it was close to the head and neck area.

As far as shipping with Garf, I never had a problem with anything I ordered from them and I have ordered a few things. Their cleenup crew has been great for me and their Garf Grunge is fantastic in my opinion, I have had all kinds of bio organisms and pods in my tank since I used it.

After gently reminding Leroy yesterday, my order finally arrived! To be honest, at first I was very distraught at what I found. The corals did not look good and some had fallen off their plugs. The water also looked very dirty. And I've never seen snails basically dry shipped. They were packed in a bag with just a wet paper towel in it. I was disappointed by the fact that I ordered 37 assorted snails and only got 28. Three were actually hermit crabs which I said I didn't want any of and six were vacant. I'll let it slide because I got about thirty corals instead of the sixteen promised. Once I acclimated and placed the corals in my tank they started to really liven up, however. I'm very impressed with my order. A few macro's were even included on a few plugs. The downside is that there were some pests that came on the plugs. I didn't think that a Garf order would include these since they always boast about their rock to be free of organisms that cause harm. There was a single aiptasia and a sea spider. I've never seen a sea spider in real life, just in magazine articles and some of the books I own. They're really something else. Sadly, I didn't get a picture of it, because it hid as soon as it arrived in the tank. Anyways I've created a photobucket with the pictures. I'm uploading them right now.
The username is Garforder and the password is password for anyone who is interested. Sorry for the quality, they were taken on my phone for lack of a better source of photography. Over all I was very pleased with the order and I'm excited to see the corals open up.

Depending on the species of snail (and the time of the year) a damp paper towel can be the safest way of shipping.

My CuC also came with a damp paper towel which kept enough moisture for the crew. Like the type of hermits they send or not they are very good and I have never had them bother any corals.

I didn't realize that. I placed an order through a friend who had connections with a wholeseller last year and they were shipped in a bag of water, so it just seemed strange to me when there was just a damp towel. The reason I didn't want hermits was because I already had quite a few and they had been killing off my snails for their shells, the reason I was buying more. All in all I'm very pleased with my purchase. I'll add to the collection of pictures when they all open up and the gorgonians have their polyps. Everything made it alive. I'll update on here when I post the new pictures. Thanks for the replies guys!
