I've been away from the apartment for 10 days now building a new stand/canopy, outside of the 2 20-minute trips I've been by to fill up the ATO. On Saturday I noticed that my coral were looking a little stressed and pale. Turns out, the halides were on for several days straight (roommate couldn't notice this?) and completely stressed my coral right before I was about to transfer them to the new tank. Obviously I won't be touching them until they come back to health, but I'm in a bit of a peculiar spot as my bracing could fail at any time (hence the new tank transfer). What brutal timing.

They are set up on a reef keeper. I was messing with the settings and messed it up. Was set to "on" and not auto.

ugh. They'll be fine, just a log road to recovery. Darn that Murphy.

I've done this same thing this year. Sometimes it's the simplest things that screw things up. What seems obvious to us is like whatever to others.

I reduced the photo period in half (8 to 4 hours). I'm not sure if this will help or not, but it's what I did.

I'm getting read to be gone for 11 days - and I am nervous about the tank. It is true, that non-hobbyist really have no idea on how things work. So sorry that happened Kevin.
