I was looking at my tank and all the dwarf ceriths and other snails on the glass when i noticed that there was an aiptasia anemone growing on one of my ceriths. Without a second thought I flushed the snail and went on to inspect all my others for signs of it and they all checked out. Anyway I am just so glad I saw it and was able to get rid of it before an outbreak happened. :)

lol next time, try scraping it off.

Or if you can do this without getting it on the snails flesh, put salt on the anemone and it will shrivel up and loosen its grip.

I feel your pain. I have had this very large LR piece in my tank for at least 6 months & now found a single aiptasia spouting this week. I can't remove the rock without doing some major rescaping. So, I bought a Copperband that will be here tomorrow.. We'll see if he does what he's suppose to do..

Not to mention that snail shells probably aren't great for the plumbing...::)

Keep that plunger handy, especially if you see an aptasia on a rock!!:LolLolLol
