As i was leaving for school i happen to look in my tank. I've just got done cycling it:p. So far all i have is LS and LR in my little 30 gallon tank. I guess when i was cleaning my LR i missed a lil critter. Well anyways as i was leaving for school i happen to see a mantis shrimp. I've heard diffrent things about these little bugers so i was wondering if i really should get rid of it or keep it. any advise:confused:

Ya if you had other plans for the tank, then you'll need to take him out. But take it back to the LFS. They are awesome little creatures, don't kill it.

I've seen a 5 inch Mantis in my reef tank twice in the 4 1/2 years it's been up and running. It takes out the occasional snail but other than that I've had no problems.

Now they don't have a bad rap for nothing, but I'm just saying if you can't catch him it's not the end of the world

yea i'm not worried about it and i won't destory him. i've been thinking all day about it and i might end up keeping him and just getting another tank for my other project. ive seen videos and read up on them and they seem like really intresting little things.

You can keep tons of different fish with a mantis.

U just cannot keep any other inverts
