When you turn off your powerheads tiny little bubbles start to make there way out of the rocks and sand and rise to the surface? Anyone know what causes this. I had sometime today where my tanks flow was off and have bubbles on my rock. I had this in my Red Sea tank before as well.

took the words out of my mouth. If you look at your tank closely, particularly sideways, you can see tiny bubbles on the rock. This is caused by the cynobacteria's respiration.
