Anyone got a clue on the cause?

He's been going strong for a few months now. I fed him this morning and he looked 100% fine.

I pick up a blonde naso today, thinking I got company for my boys and I see him like that. WTH!!!!!!:angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry:

Hard to tell, because being stuck to the powerhead undoubtedly caused a lot of post-death damage.
What are your params? What size is your tank?

Temp (when I got home) 88. I've seen this tank hit 92 and everyone was fine. Today wasn't particularly warm so I doubt it's temp.

    Nitrate: 20.

    Nitrite: 0

    Ammonia: .25

    Ph: 8.4

Sorry I bypassed this. Rushing to steam my suit. Stupid meeting tomorrow.

92 and ur tank is fine....thats insane, id never let my tank get above 82, thats has to have caused some stress on the tank and alot at that, if i where one id do somethign to make sure that never happens again, also with a cycled tank ammonia should always be at zero, id do a water change asap

I don't have much of a choice. It's been a hot summer and I can't afford a chiller or the bills that will surely come with it.

I tried one of those fans from azoo and found myself refilling 5 gallons or so every couple days.

The tank size is 55 gallon. 65 total with the sump.

    ALSO:

regarding the ammo, I suspect its because I fed a little heavy this morning, as I was trying to encourage a new tang I put in last week to eat with the others. He's still in that loner phase.

The tanks been going in this state about 7 months or so. Moved up from a 30 gallon.

This fish has been in for about two months and never showed any abnormal behavior.

Both ammonia and temp are high enough for fatalities. Also, 55 is MUCH too small for just the naso tang (it needs to go back), let alone with two tangs. Could have added stress to the mix as well.

 Thats not pretty sight there, my yellow tang has been doing great and never shown any signs of dying. But 92 is way too high.
