No no no, Matt, I have been fishing all my life, and this is definately a bloodworm. I just looked up photos of the "bristleworm," and Im certain it's a bloodworm.

I know bloods are found in the sand banks in the bay in New Jersey, but from Fiji?? Hahha, whats going on here?

Take off the sponges? I have always heard the opposite. Keep the sponges b/c they help filter out the no2 and no3 and nh3 from the water. Im sorry but my tank lots of sponges every where.

You'll want to remove the sponges from the rock if you're curing the rock and they are dieing. Removing them will help make an easier cure. However, if the sponges are not decaying, leave them there.

only remove the sponges if their dying or if you don't like them.if a sponge dies it expells all its antibiotics from its body and the antibiotics will poison your tank.
