It's not so much the volume I'm after, as it is the speed of delivery. I can make 12 gallons in one hour. But we actually bought this when we were renting our last place. Now that we bought a house I have a 50g water drum so the speed is kind of moot. But our "shop" officially opens in Jan., so I'll need easy access to massive amount of water.

thanks for all the great info as far as testing the well water I dont think it has benn done at any house iv lived at for the last 20 years I guess my family thought there was no need. Where we are now I live with my inlaws next door so I asked him about the water and according to him the hot water has to much iron in the water and the pipes are a copper and iron mix no PVC at all. He has lived next door to this house his whole life and know the origional owner so i know hes right. This well had work done to it when we first moved in so the filter is made for some of the comtaments but i dont think is good enough for saltwater.

If the hot water has iron then the cold water does too unless you have a softener designed to work on iron too.
If I wre you I would look up a few of the publications put out by the EPA on domestic wells and the need to test them occasionally. Yes years ago we didn't woryy about such things but we have also learned a lot since those days. I started my working career as a well driller and could not imagine not knowing what is in my water, very scary.

The PurelyH2o Optima series is a good unit. A TDS meter will tell you the condition of the membrane and DI resin, thats the only way to tell if it was a good deal or not.
