So I dipped all my corals yesterday in revive and for some reason I thought to use RO water....several minutes in it dawns on me that I am suppose to use salt, duh!!

I assume they are all going to survive, might of lost a single frag.

Anyhow, I have never seen anyone recommend an RO dip on coral, just live stock.

How bad is it for them?

It tends to be a death sentance the longer they are in the dip. Keep track of the corals and be prepared for more losses.

What kind of coral? If you put sps or lps corals in the water, they may die.

If you dipped zoas, mushrooms, kenya tree, xenia, etc. I wouldn't worry about it.

Well, I guess the first question is why? Revive is a cleaning dip used when you first get your coral. Once you corals are in your tank and properly placed the best course of action is to monitor the water parameter.

As for your corals, I googled the directions for revive and it says to dip them for an hour – did you go the full hour or catch it earlier? I suspect you will see some deaths as mentioned on your less hardy corals. If you see them start to die I would suggest removing them rather than trying to nurse them back to health – a melting coral can foul your water quickly and take otherwise healthy corals and fish with it. Good luck

Edit - I see you said "minutes" no where near the hour, good.
