yeah, i know what a lot of them are but i thought it would be fun to get some participation going. the last eel picture i've got no clue though and a few of the wrasses are a mystery as well.

funny bit about the wife. she was terrified the whole time, the dive master set her down by a rock so she could chill and a 6foot reef shark shot out of a cave and swam about 10 feet away from her. she was freaking out and everyone was kind of looking at each other and i'm the only idiot swimming like mad AT the shark trying to power up my dead camera! yeah, my wife is never going diving again...

 

i was browsing through my lfs and they had a Humu Humu Trigger. i had to just star longingly and him and sigh. i should take up a goodwill collection, the Send Joe Back to Maui Fund.

 

Dude...what camera do you have? I've taken some photos diving, but it was with flippin' underwater disposables. Rated for 50 feet. And they were right about the 50 feet...I lost one at 60 :

 

Way Cool. I wanna go scuba diving so bad. I spent two years in the carribean for med school and not once had the chance to dive so I'm waiting to finish and celebrate my residency with a trip back to the ocean and spend as much time as I can underwater. Great vids and pics!!

 

i was using a 6 year old canon sd450. i found an underwater sleeve on ebay for like 15 bucks that was "guaranteed" for like 18 feet. i was more than certain the thing was just a glorified ziploc so i took a camera i would mind drowning. the deepest i think i saw was somewhere between 40 and 50 foot. i just knew i wanted videos. now i can use the sleeve for shots of my tank and epic wakeboarding vids! ;D
