So I am buying my first tank and I have heard the route that I want to look is to go leds. Well The tank I want with shipping is $370. On marine depots website they have that exact tank with upgraded lights (see link below)

Innovative Marine 30 Gallon Micro Nuvo Aquarium Dimmable Reef Ready Kit

I am just looking to have a 3 clownfish and some anenomeas and maybe a golby at the max. I was told that these lights wont work for anenamies so I was wondering what yalls thoughts on this were. I live in a dorm so I cant have any crazy hanging lights of huge lights. What do you think?

Maybe hold off on the anemones until you are out of school as they can be quite grumpy being disturbed by moving as often as you will be.

well, ya have a few problems, IMO, 3 clowns in a 30G will quickly become 2 clowns once 2 pair up and kill the 3rd, and 2in10 is right about the anenomes, moving that tank for summer and winter break is gonna be a nightmare. I'd look at a 20G and 2 fish to start until you;re out of college. and you also need to consider how you're gonna make/get water and do WCs in a college dorm.
