i need help with finding some care info for a fu mancho lion i have a 30gal that was goin to be a mantis tank again but after seeing that fu manchu at the lfs i was like i totally would like to have him. I have researched that they get about 4" max they are semi ag, and can sting, but i havnt really found what water params should be and what foods the preffer besides they are carnivores. what could i keep with him also i would like to get a royal gamma and a chromis or 2.
the dilema is that i would really like a mantis though but i think the fu manchu lion fish would be a good choice also.

Fu manchus are awesome little fish, but they can be hard to get eating well. The best thing to feed them is whole krill. As far as water parameters, standard reef conditions will work well for them. If given the chance, they will eat chromis or grammas.

with a fumanchu youll only want other semi aggressive larger fish, so if you want to have a variety of tank mates for him a larger tank like a 75 gallon would be good then you could put in a tang or a little trigger for the meantime. just thinking out loud

Yeah, mikejrice, is right. Fu Manchus are awesome little lionfishes. You will have to ween them into eating frozen food. Using a feeding stick and some garlic seasoning (you can find these at the fish store), they should start eating. Once they start eating frozen food, you should feed them a variety of food including silversides, krills, oysters, clams, etc. :)

And, as always, constant water changes and keeping your parameters stable is key to keeping you lion for a long time!

    Good luck! :D

It takes time for them to start eating frozen food though. Mine took about a week to get it to start eating frozen.
