so is my new RL 100 working? - pic and hires video!

Do I need to open it up a bit so more foam gets in the collection cup or am I ok?

Note i did adjust it some what after taking the video because i mistakenly blocked the air intak hose and got water in the cup. So I turned off the pump and then watched and moves the water level barley upwards in the white cone area.

 

appears too be working
make sure the water level is of proper depth over the pump and make sure there is no restriction in the water and air flow. Those needle wheels can get clogged time to time and some times those air silencers are not needed.

thanks! yeah the water level is above the skimmers pump about 2 inches hopefully it's enough. My sump is prob a 45 gal sump it's pretty big for something plastic lol...

Cant wait to get the new 1 though from PM !

still not sure why i don't have hardly anything in the collection cup. maybe my tank is clean but i doubt it after cooking 5 fish

 

2 inches may not be enough,
and do you take apart your pump impeller and needle wheel to clean, with those type of skimmers I cleaned the pump completely every time i thought the bubble count looked low
