So I recently recieved A LOT of snails from Reefcleaners
They were GREAT and I highly reccomend them for macro algae and CUC ;) http://www.3reef.com/forums/reef-cleaners/exceptional-service-thank-you-reefcleaners-110054.html
But....(I am not complaining) He seems to have given me MANY extras (Thanks John ;) )
I have so many that I honesly do not know what to do with them. LOL
This might sound stupid and farfetched (the answer is probably no) but could I somehow acclimate some of them to freshwater?
I have 3 freshwater tanks that could definately use some snails.
    Probably no.......but just checking
    Thanks

:( Yeah thats what I thought
I could share them but with the $25-35 shipping it just would not be worth it for 20 snails. Also I have no idea how to pack them. Any suggestions on where I could put the extras? No sump, no fuge on this tank. I could give some to a friend but he has a small tank so I couldnt give him all of the extras. I am not saying there is something bad about having extra snails, but it is just that my tank kind of looks like it is under an insane snail ATTACK right now ;) LOL

    Nature is amazingly clever JJL

I would put them all in, and eventually, you will end up with the exact amount of snails
    you need in the tank

If you start with the exact amount you think you need, then eventaully, you will end up with less than would be ideal

John allows for this factor in his calculations when providing a CUC and thus is very generous in his shipments

    Yup...you are absolutely correct ;)
Most of them have yet to take the plunge into SW (still in FW)
I love FW tanks, I have 3, but with reefs there are so many more interesting concepts.

They will disperse better after a while. We were worried at first too, but after about a week They all settled in and things looked much better.

    Shipping would be around $5.
