Thanks again to everyone! This was an awesome thread. I'm sure ANYTHING will be better than that JEBO-junk I had. It was running for at least three months and NEVER produced (in total) nore than a half cup o' gunk. I can't wait to see what the Coralife Super Skimmer produces. Darn! Why did I take the free 7-day delivery?!

Okay, the skimmer moves over 300 gph. I have a 37-gallon FWLR: 3 fish, one anemone and a small cleaning crew. Taking live stock into consideration, will the Super Skimmer handle more live rock and maybe two more fish?

I don't think I would add anymore fish but the LR is a good idea.

Use it as a yardstick. I tend under stock. You can push more on a FOWLER.

BTW, just as a comparison. My 210 ez-reef currently has 5 fish; Hepa Tang, Fox-face, Tomato Clown, Soho Tang and a Tiger Blenny. Maybe 30 inches. The calculator says 50 inches. I'm OK with 1 more fish, but am in no rush.

    :hehe: :hehe: :hehe:

Hey, I like my JEBO VHO lights. They were a steal. And the 520 skimmer was fun to DIY with a Becket mod. It is on my 210 and works great too. I know I'll catch grief, but I'd put it up against an ASM G3 anyday. Aside from that, I agree. The little JEBOs are junk.

I got my new skimmer today!!! OMG Doctors Foster & Smith are AWESOME. I chose 7-day free shipping and I got it today...BLAZING FAST DELIVERY!!!! I only ordered it 3 days ago.

Okay, I'm going to try and put it together, it looks a little difficult, but that's just my first impression. I'm sure it's easy.

So I should rinse it VERY well with hot water correct? Okay. Cool. Wish me luck.

BLADE_RUNNER: Thanks for the helpful link!! I'll be sure and use it.

    Thanks everyone.

A good rinse is always a good idea, it can't do anything but good.

Quick update: Skimmer was rinsed in HOT tap water, assembled and is now up and running. It seemed a bit touchy at first. I HOPE this is because it's brand new. The micro-bubbles are just above the red screw-ring and holding their level. The bubble diffuser is not working as good as I hoped it would. I'm still getting quite a bit of bubbles ejected back into the tank. I hope this will correct itself and within 72 hours, with any luck, I'll get some good "gunk". Please keep fingers crossed....
