Went to a fish store yesterday called Aquarium One in Rockville Maryland and saw a crazy chalice.

After inquiring about the price I was greeted by a nice gentleman who told me "That is a tangerine dream from Jason Fox". Apparently Jason Fox only has three eyes of this chalice and this fish shop got one! It looked so much better in person than in the picture below.

Bright green rim that goes into a darker purple then lighter purple/pink. The center was a nice bright orange.

Too bad it's out of my price range!

I recommend the fish shop to anyone who is local. The prices were about average for Maryland fish shops and they had a great selection. They did have bryopsis in their frag tanks so you will need to deal with that upon purchase.

    You mean Jason fox ;)

And you would also be surprised to know that the man himself lives about 30 minutes from you! Tangerine dreams is a nice piece of his but there are also a few other nice ones... I picked up his pink panther the other day.

I saw his corals at MACNA, and I have to say that they didn't stand out from everyone else there other than the name Jason Fox on the banner above.

I have to say, Jason is really good at branding, but I would never spend $800 on a single eye based solely on the fact that there are only three known to be in captivity.

On a side note, could you imagine finding a house sized colony of this coral while out diving. JACKPOT!!!!!

To bad I can snag 4 eyes for $550. Jason might only have a few eyes left, bu that doesn't mean everyone else who has a tangerine dream has fragged almost every eye they could. It is all about finding the right place to buy corals. That place is other reefers.

That sums up my thoughts exactly, only include "rare" zoathids
This is the same as that tropicorium chalice, doesn't really look 800$ even in person.
