Feedin heavy may help alleviate the stress and aggression being observed.

I just put them in last night, I plan on feeding them when I get home from work, As long as one of them hasn't already ate. ;)

Well the good news is they are both still alive, the flame angel has a little nip out of one fin so I ran to Lowes and put a piece of acrylic with a lot of holes in as a divider, which is working great. I'll give it a 2-3 weeks and then into the big tank.

This myth you are talking about is not a myth at all. Its just good aquarium husbandry.IMO Just because you can do it doesn't mean you should. Giving yourself the best chance of success should be the goal no matter what you do.

I agree with insane and vinny. I've tried two dwarf angels twice. Once was in a 200 with a Rusty and a Flame. The other a 180 with a Flame and Potters. Neither worked out.

Given I've failed twice with tanks twice the size you're attempting, I'd say you're going a little small for this experiment.

If you're bound and determined to go down this route then use the formula I use for same-genus tangs which is to add them at the same time, have high flow and keep them exceptionally well fed.

I did have two at once. They were the same size and added at the same time. The beauty was a little territorial if the flame went in it's home. That's about it. Just got chased out. So hopefully yours will be ok
