Sock it to me!

I use mine only for about a day or two when in blast my rock with a baster or powerhead to shake up detritus. Then I take it out and clean it

 

I'm in the same groups as Am an Ingtar. I used to use a sock and change/wash them everyother day but then realized that I was basically stealing food from my coral and fish. Now I only put a sock on if I feel there is too much floating debris and that's usually only when I blast my rocks. But even then I still turn it inside out and attempt to re-capture any pods that are big enough to see.

 

this is all good stuff to consider! I think I would like the option of using one at the very least.
