My softies grow like weeds. My xenia colony is always crawling across the rock and overtaking it and my jasmine polyp sending out new runners and popping up new polyps daily.

As for the mushrooms, mine do nto grow much either or split but mine are ricordia, Iw as told they do not split unless stressed not sure if this is true or not

Very nice. What's your tank size and flow?

I have a 46gallon bowfront which are known to hav issues with flow and deadspots due to the bow. I have 1 750gph powerhead and 2 425 gph powerheads and the filter return is rated at 264gph max btu I keep it turned down. I do NOT have a skimmer though and there are many corals such as softies and mushrooms that are known to do much better in unskimmed tanks than prstine low nutrient systems. I do also have a lot of lps though and a couple easier to keep sps pieces that grow and appear healthy. Do a 10% WC weekly

Awesome! I just added a 250 gph Koralia to my system. I think my 400 gph is on its last leg. The 250 feels stronger than the 400. That may be my biggest issue, besides nutrients.

What are your nutrient levels (nitrate/phosphate) at, out of curiosity?

Its been a little over a week since I checcked my phosphate and it was at .06 which is higher than normal normally its around .02 and ammonia, nitrate, and nitrates always measure at 0 but have not checked them in about a month or more I can do a full test and see where everything is at since its due and let ya know. the only algae I get is a brownish film on the front like normal and a ball of red sponge algae that shows up every once in a while that is easily removed. Basically a very clean tank but also have a large clean up crew. It will be interesting to see where I am at since I have been adding the Trace soft and hard alternating days for a couple of months now.

Im in the same boat as you regarding nutrients and algae. I just get that glass film. Have you noticed a significant increase in growth since you started adding the trace soft?

I would say yes it seemed to help like you nothing was growing that fast and only doing water changes 3-4 weeks I started adding the trace soft and hard and now everything is growing like crazy, soft and hard corals. my GSP are almost getting out of hand but enjoy it for now especially since I see its just starting to grow up my overflow box and hopefully over time I will have a green hairy overflow box instead of a ugly black box, I added some new Zoa's 2 weeks back and they have doubled in size as well.

That's awesome. Hopefully I'll be in the same boat as you soon.
