Please read my updated signature and advise on wether I can safely add a Sohal Tang to my 125 gal. I would even consider gettng rid of the Flame Angel if need be?

I wouldn't chance it. IMO you are already way over stocked taking into the account the adult sizes of your fish as it is. The naso will outgrow your 125, along with the sohal and the sohal will butt heads with all your other tangs. 6 large tangs in a tank that small is a bad idea.

Sohal need at least a 6 foot tank, but are best off in a 8 foot tank

180 is a whole different story, you could add all those fish, but even then i think the naso and sohal might out grow the tank in the long long run

A 240 would be way better than a 180. I have seen full grown naso's make a tank with an 8' x 3' footprint look tight, and sohals are basically the same. Each fish gets around 14-18" in time and are very active swimmers. when they reach that point need a lot of room to move around something like a minimum of an 8' 240 tank for the pair, but even that might get iffy if either have a problem with the other being there.

I figure if I use my 125 as filter for the 180 I don't need to flood the 180 with decor not much anyway leaving more room for swimming.

Yea def, you would be fine with the 180,i have seen heavly stocked 180s with np before, just use the 125 as a sump and you will be fine.

Really???, you are recommending this guy to put 6 tangs into a 180, with adult sizes of 18" for the naso, 16" for the sohal, 15" for the sailfin, 12" regal, 12" scopas, and 7" kole?

What I find interesting is if you take in to account a heavy load of 1" of adult sized fish per 3 gallons with JUST these tangs you come to a 240. Believe whomever you want, I think its going to be a disaster with that many tangs in such a small amount of water.
