Sohal Tangs are the most aggressive of all the tangs and are huge swimmers. I would think it would be OK in a 180 if it was the only large fish but I'm not sure how it would far with 5 other tangs.

Wow. That would be a big risk. I added a medium sized Sohal to a 650 with a full grown unicorn and they got along fine because the unicorn was quite a bit larger at the time. However, a full grown Desjardini Sailfin was added and that sohal fully intended to kill it. It took 3 people to get him out.....two to keep the Sohal at one end of the tank and one person to catch the sailfin. Sohals are just plain ole aggressive.

Will you be doing daily water changes?

    I agree with you 100%.

Sohals are probably the most aggro of all the tangs, and they grow big enough that even in a 180, they will outgrow one.

I am thinking because that would be a very heavy bioload.

Honestly, a 180 or 210 is still a pretty small tank for reef fish that get as big as a sohal.

If long term keeping of a sohal is planned, then I would say at least a 300 g tank would be a good idea.

oh yeah, also a standard 125g tank is a 6 foot tank, not a 4 footer. A 120g is a 4 foot tank in std sizes.

Still, no need to every day water changes even with a heavy bio load, ive always had a big bio load and my tank is lucky to get water changes once a month, as long as the filtration is there, then the bio load is not a problem IMO and if he gets a small sohal keeping it for a year or 2 then selling isnt a problem IMO but i always test my limits in this hobby lol
