Im thinking of getting this unit in a 48". My buddy just got one and hasn't set it up and the local LFS can't keep the things in stock. From what he knows they are great lights and people are happy with them. They also have the digital timer and lunars on them. Not to mention the price is right for me at least with it being under $300. If anyone has any pics or reviews of this as far as growth, etc. It would be appreciated.

As long as you get a working fixture and replace the bulbs right away, you may like it. Personally, I think deep blue makes awful products.

So any suggestions on something in that price range. I know you get what you pay for, but money is a little tight at the moment, so if anybody can come up with something that they have had success with in that range it would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Pete

Look for a used Nova Extreme either 4 or 6 bulb fixture. I love my 6-bulb.

I have a 90 that I want to keep softies and lps in. Like I said price is an issue at the moment, my wife kinda put me on probation for a little while, with all the money I spend on my boat and fishing related stuff, but I don't want to waste what I already have invested and set up. Right now I am running a coralife t5 HO dual bulb unit and know thats not enough.

A lot of people would say a 4 bulb is not enough, and a 6 bulb fixture over a 90 is good enough for most stuff, especially if it's an ATI 6 bulb fixture.
So I put a TEK 8 bulb T5HO fixture over my 90. Overkill...?
But then again, I know a guy who ran 3x 400W MHs plus 2x VHO actinics over a 90.
