I just got a solar wrasse Thursday night January 1 and he is starting to peek out now from under the rock. Should I leave off the lights today to maybe help him come out more or does that not matter. I have 2 150 watt MH bulbs. My lights were on yesterday and he hid all day. Im posting here because my lights would go on at 9:00am eastern time

Its good that your wrasse is showing already but give it some time to acclimate to its own environment. Seems to me that he is hungry but its still shy, so more important it to try to get him to eat shrimp that 's cut into small pieces or frozen food. I first saw mine comes out in the evening when only the aquarium light is on. Now he come out during daytime also without hesitation.

Just the new kid on the block and still a little scared. Run the tank just like normal so he can get used to it. He will come out in time.
