Got an interesting spam from Hong Kong today... the SolarMax Duo Burner halide actually contains two lamps within: a 20k and a 10k (see image attached). A switching function is built in that allows you to cycle the lamps with a timer giving your corals the benefit of varied kelvin outputs during the day and also extending individual lamp life by splitting the load. Pretty interesting. I believe I saw something similar from ReefBrite a while ago. hmm..

I thought about that too. :)
Maybe the jacket would crack from too much heat if both were on.

Anywhere that uses Royal Pet Supplies as their dry goods supplier.

if you see blue solarmax t5ho and t5he boxes, triton pumps, or anything that reads deep blue professional on the box they can order it.

They also make some decent t5ho fixtures w/ built in digital timer and blue LED moonlights for a good price.

They are from the Deep Blue Professional series that Royal came out with. They also make some nice RR rimless tanks. I would not recommend their stand though. Everything else is well made and works well. I would recommend their products to anyone. Except the stands of course.

They use different companies to build their products. Life gaurd for pumps, I believe AGA for tanks, and lighting I'm not sure about.

thats a nice feature, but Im sure you'd have to wait for your ballast to cool down before refiring bulb for alternate color/k option.. so if you have MH only setup there would be a dark period for 10-30 minutes depending on the ballast your using.. does this sound right? lol
