Yeah I know I said I would make a build thread but yup too lazy/forgot.
Anyway its all set up now and looking pretty good. Other tank looks like **** corals dying(still GHA! pisses me off ive pretty much tried everything to get rid of it) so pretty much decided just gonna leave my other tank as FOWL except the candy cane which for some reason was my first coral and is still alive. Im also thinking about buying a bunch of colonies online and then cutting them up and selling the frags locally (keeping what I want of course). What do you guys think about that seems like I could make some money doing that. (buy colony for like $50 wait for it to get settled make 10 or so frags give them awhile then sell frags for $10 each boom theres $50.00) Im still gonna give this tank awhile before I start doing that but might move the rest of the corals over from my hex. Also just spent a bunch of money on bass parts so can't exactly buy colonies now either haha.

Nice tank, I like the rimless looks. Great scape.

For the frags, you placed I would manually remove as much GHA as possible, also are you sure that is GHA and not byropsis or turf algae?

I would also get some hermits like scarlett leg to munch on it.

Tank looks great, +1 to Corailline's advise, an emerald crag will help with the larger sized algae.

The hermits will kill some for shells if you don't have enough for them to move to. The emerald will ignore the snails. I would not add any coral or crabs until you are certain the cycle is done.

I use hydrogen peroxide to remove algae on frags.

Can you please elaborate on this.

Do you dilute it, does it kill all algae, what types of frags, all?

    TIA

I hope noone minds a link to another forum where I first heard about this method.

    Dinoflagellates my experience......h2o2 reefing tool!!!!!

I have used this method on zoas and sps frags where bubble algae was on the plugs. worked well for me. I have seen people using this method on chalice frags as well.
