Having some issues with brown algae all over my substrate and on my front acrylic...any solutions??? Tank has been running for 1 month, houses two clowns and a blue tang, also a CUC. Also a couple LPS and other corals
No nitrates or nitrites, also phosphates are super low because I run a GFO reactor.
    Solutions?!?

It is diatoms. It will go away once excess silicates are used up. It is most likely from new equipment or any new plastic you added to your tank. It is all a normal part of new tanks. You can siphon it off of the sand and wipe your glass if you don't want to see it.

If your tank has only been running a month, it's just going thru part of its algae cycle, and as mentioned, you're seeing a diatom bloom. If you remove it, you'll just keep fighting it. Let it run its course, with the exception of cleaning your viewing panes...it really will just burn itself out.
