Just wanted to share a few pictures of Richmond Aquarium's resident blue spotted ray. Big Ray was rescued from a bar aquarium where it and a shark got to fighting. Seeing as the ray didn't stand a chance, it had to come out and has been in the store for about 3 or 4 yrs. It resides in a 250 gallon rubber maid watering tub in the grow out section of the coral propagation center. As you can see, the kids love to feed it and Ray doesn't seem to mind it much at all.

I'm glad it found a good home. Rays are cool.

That's awesome Annik!!! Tangster was going to show me this as I would love to have a Ray in my tank! They are very graceful, some very beautifully colored/patterned!
Glad it found a happy home and made it through the shark fight! Thanks for the pictures...

Very soon my gigas will have outgrown my 180. I already have a 300 gal tub that I will be placing it in right under a 400w halide.

I've been dreaming of having a single rock mountain island in the middle crowned with the clam and the rest just sand where I will have some rays. Was even thinking perhaps a few lookdowns or something. I don't know. I want to do something dramatic even if it will be just in the basement.
