    Looks good so far. On pics 4 & 5, what is the function of the screw-in cap? Is that for air to make it better flowing? Luna

    Yup...Actually 2 screws, one big, and the second one is smaller...I can remove both. I ended up drilling a hole in the small screw so the water flow better.

    I got that idead from durso system. So the only noise I hear is the pump.

    Thanks. Yeah, I don't want to loop so many pvc pipes to get that sys so came up w/ my own.

    hehe..not in Miami. I have been there though. Maybe that's why :)

    I am in SoCal.

    Thanks for the complements.
    Here are some pics of the current setup. I just added 2 pieces of raw shrimps.
    The water looks a little yellowish....why is that?
    Here are my water parameters: - (what is it telling you?)

    Salinity: 1.024
    Temp: 83.7
    pH: 8.6
    Alkalinity: 1.7 - 2.8
    Ammonia: 0.5
    Nitrite: 0.5
    Nitrate: 5
    Phosphate: 0.03
