So I can't get a pic, but today I noticed something swimming around in a very small cave that's normally covered w/ a mushroom.... at first I thought it was just an amphipod, then I caught another glimpse and it's deff not any kind of pod. What I can't tell is if it's a fish larvae or a very small shrimp.... it's clear, seems to have eyes, and a bright green dot where it's guts are.... it's about 2mm long and kinda flips around in it's little cave.... I swear it looks like a fish larvae, but sometimes it looks like it's clinging to the rock like a shrimp.

The rock is new, and AFAIK nothing in my tank that could has spawned. Is it possible to have a fish larva as a hitch hiker?

I know someone here had a juvi blue tang as a hitchhiker, but this is in a 5-10 day larval state. It has to have been in my tank for over a week now too, so I am thinking it was an egg when introduced.

just very strange. If I get a chance I will see if I can get a picture. Based on my observation and comparrison to >100 pics from here, RC, fishbase, and other sights I am pretty sure it's a vertibrate.... oh how fun....

Almost anything is possible as a hitchhiker so who knows. Sounds fun. Is it maybe a mysis shrimp or a ghost shrimp? Those would be common hitchhikers.
