I've looked high and low to try and figure out what these are with no luck.

The best description I can give is a really skinny earthworm. Sort of like a single tentacle of a spaghetti worm. They seem to be mostly nocturnal, because I notice them much more just after the light turns on. They don't seem to be messing with any coral, or anything else for that matter. Just want to be sure.

    Thanks!

It appears to be a spaghetti worm to me. Harmless filter feeder.

What I have look nothing like that. :-/

The mass near the center of the cup is just a coiled up worm.

Its a hair worm or a speghetti worm - call it as you like. the tentacles come off the body, as mentioned harmless filter feeder.

There are also standard "marine worms" and if you feel better calling them this, than there you go. Again, harmless filter feeders....and all nocternal - so yes, lights out they are active and cleaning your tank

Alright thanks... I've been sucking them out of my tank for nothing then. Good thing there still all over the place I suppose.

    Thanks to you both.
