Some life from live rock

    I'd never thought that I would get so excited over some snails, lol!! I put my live rock in my tank ive been setting up and had a couple of tiny snails crawling around. I wasn't expecting it. Also saw a few more things. I think a bristle worm, shrimp like thingy.....everything is soooootiny!!

    Ah yes, bonuses are always welcome with one caveat, they must be wanted. Bristle worms have that love/hate thing going on. Anyway, enjoy the hobby!

    i just set mine up aout 6 months ago and i am still finding things that i didn't know were in there. i think the hitchhikers off of the live rock have been my favorite part. They have kept it interesting even when i find things i don't want in there like a mantis shrimp. i know everyone says to go with the base rock to save money but then you miss out on some of these little surprises.

    Ours is only 1 mo old, but absolutely agree with you on live rock...all sorts of things are sprouting or popping out of it...certainly keeps things interesting...whereas base rock is boring.
