If and when they open and survive. I will. I have a photo of the medusa from the sight so I can put that up.

After watching the 50 bids free auction tonight, I figure the reason timers are so messed up is because people like SPARKY and CHALICEKEEPER sit there and jackhammer their mouse button. The point of a penny auction is to get stuff cheap. They just want to run up the bill.

We could have sat their till midnight if everyone would have let the timer run down to 4 seconds before bidding. Honestly, nobody was going to stop bidding when the price is between .01 and 20.00. Really let's not waste anyone's time and let's get the bid to where people will start thinking about placing a bid. I had a price that I was stopping at, $25.13. Obviously so did Chalice. Let's just see who's stopping price is higher, really thats all it amounts to. Who's stopping price is higher.

If the 5 cent marginal increase would have worked it would have been over even sooner.

In CPA's grand idea to create a website based on people bidding a penny I'm sure they spitballed the idea of many people clicking the same button all at once as fast as they can.

IME the problem is too many things on their site have to refresh after each click:

    The timer
    The price going up.
The last 10 bidders (which they have cut to just 5 I noticed tonight).
    The "sale" price going down
    The "latest bidder" status bar

Multiply this by the number of auctions going on at the same time and that many people bidding on the same item and you have a lot of server refreshing going on at the same time, which is cause for gaps and freezing.

Ty 2in10, Noone asked for negativity clarky.

If you go and watch the original penny auctions, thats how they do it.
But on here, just for the hell of it they will run the bill up til they think,
" ok, now people are pissed.....im goin to bed.". If you notice the two that bidded the WHOLE TIME just suddenly stopped all at once and no more bids where placed by them. Check the bidding history.

Always the realist who is deemed negative.
Based on the price that auction went for it could have lasted another 2 hours. Let's just get it up to a price where people will stop in the first place. The price got too high to bid again. I want to win cheaply just as badly as you do, but why drag out an auction and wait till the 4 second mark to bid every time. I've been hosed by the timer too many times to wait till the last second to bid anymore.
