ditto, and I finally see the advantage to bidding on bids because if you're smart you can get them for a nice savings from list price.

As evidence by the current 10 bid auction we don't mind bidding against each other

One thing that I'm guilty of is why bother with a bidding war until under the last 30 seconds it just keeps driving the price higher :D

I am starting to think we should start the bidding war sooner so we can get the bids in our accounts sooner and not miss out bidding on other items.

sostoudt, I saw you bidding like crazy earlier on that free 10 bid auction. Why not wait until the end to keep the price as low as possible? Let everyone else do whatever they want then bid at the end? You got into a war with someone and the price skyrocketed hahaha

I don't get the logic in this... Isn't the point NOT to pay a lot?

Everyone has a set price that they are willing to bid to. You might just as well get into the war and get it over with quickly.

It doesn't work like that in the free 10 auctions, I don't want to give away my secrets but it just doesn't.

maybe after a couple wins tonight I will give you the insight at how I got that knowledge.

So you're saying that if the price goes up quickly some people will opt not to bid and leave that last fury toward the end with the truly interested?

That was my thought was well, but as happened to me a couple days ago I waited until 3 seconds to bid and it said "your bid has been placed" but alas it did not take because I'm guessing that 10 people clicking like mad locks it out so it ended there.

I'm beginning to get a feel for your napalm approach to this.

Steve I think that is the best approach on the free auctions. On the auction we use our bids I think waiting let someone else bid is the better play.

Not sure if it's my internet connection or their server, but the clocks and the bid buttons are really choppy on their site tonight
