    Some people wanted to see the tank so here are a few pics I just took of it.


    Hope you guys approve!

    4 weeks in and have very slight algae (just started my light schedule so that should build up)

    Some light algae (week 4 into cycle, Amonia / Nitirite 0)

    Hard to see but some more algae building up (originally started w/tap water but switched to RODI)

    Humble 15 G sump (Tunze ATO, and filter sock for now, skimmer will be in the middle section, comes in tomorrow)

    FOUND IT!!

    NOW THIS IS IMPORTANT (IMO), you only used what looks like 100% base rock. As in not live, with little to no organisms living on/in it.

    This type of rock needs seeding (IMO). A good cultured LR from your LFS is what you need. More people I know use either 100% LR, or a 60:40 ratio of LR to baserock.

    I think your going to have some time on your hands with this lighting cycle beginning today!! Please keep the pictures coming and the tank LOOKS AWESOME!!

    patience is key. Tell me more about the light as well, and what you have for turnover rate??

    lighting system is a Solar Extreme 48" T5 4 bulb (2-10ks, and 2 actinicks)


    Have 2 Koralia 850s, and I will have to double check which return pump I have.

    Don't get to attached to the white cause it won't last. I'm surprised its actually still that white after 4 weeks. Deff need to get a liverock in tank to boost it.
