This was an awesome thread idea. I considered starting a similar thread a while back, but never did.

And I must say, this is the first time I've heard of hunting boars with a knife. That is the beastliest thing I've heard in years. I really want to try it some time.

I will say, in the fishing arena I got my pic in the paper when I was 14 for "Catch of the Week". I caught this super fat largemouth. Twice. The first time, I got it in, but no camera around. I released it, the next day (this was on some free Rapala lure...and I hate Rapala. Irony that it caught me my famous fish?) I tried again, caught the fat sucker again, and this time I was smart enough to run home for mommy. Grabbed a pic, released the guy, sent it to the paper, and boom everyone's telling me how they saw my pic in the paper . For all I know, that fatty is still in the pond behind our house. This guy was a fat 5 or 6 pounds, but I caught another bass on a youth retreat from a canoe that was 7 easy. You could almost put a softball in that thing's mouth. But, it was a very skinny fish. They didn't stock that lake very well, or something was whacko in the ecosystem. If it was a fat happy fish, he would have pushed 10 pounds.

But right now, my biggest hobby is rock climbing at my college's indoor bouldering room and 42 foot rock wall. Since it's november, Kayaking season is way gone, and alot of other outdoor activities are dissolving for the winter. I still kayak in the college's indoor pool, and rock climb in the indoor climbing area, but it's not the same as going down a river or hiking to a cliff.

I can't wait to get SCUBA diving up and going again. I bought my own gear last summer, and as of now it's only been used in the neighborhood pool. Hopefully with this class I'm taking next semester, and my soon-to-be involvement in the SCUBA club, I'll have access to dive buddies and local quarry/river dive trips galore!

that's awesome. I want to get a goat to live with my horse, but his stall is to small, only a 12 x 24. Theres one minature horse in a 24 x 24 stall with like 5 goats and theres a ton of dog igloos and stuff for the goats to go in, all so cute

I'm into snowboarding (season is almost here :) already have my season pass), rock climbing done lots of rock climbing indoors but theres nothing quite like being on a real cliff :D its fun, camping and things that go with it (fishing and stuff), and of course scuba diving I'm finishing up my certification this winter (my first dive was off of Catalina, one of those dives where they just take you out and you don't need certification, needless to say i was hooked :D

Lucky!!! Meteor shower tonight...but it's bloody cloudy right now. After a perfectly clear day. :-[ So not sure if I'll get to see anything.

I'm a destination hiker/driver/backpacker. But I will say, one of the best things about the backpacking trip I took with my highschool in the middle of nowhere Georgia was the night sky. It was a moonless, or almost moonless week. So light after dark was almost non existant. And the stars absolutely carpeted the sky. It was like nothing I had ever seen before.

On my diving trip in the Bahamas, it was nice to have our Physical Science teacher with a star pointer along on the trip :) I learned quite a few constellations I didn't know before. There's nothing like being in the ocean laying down on a slowly rolling sailboat and looking at the stars. Or out in the middle of the woods, laying down on the ground surrounded by trees and looking at the stars. :)

Man that pool table is sick.

I was into the RC thing had an XTM Accelerator, and XTM xterminator, and a Cen CT4S. The Cen was crazy fast, got really good at drifting the thing. I got out of it when i was spending crazy amounts upgrading and fixing them. My uncle got huge into them had about 12 different truggys, trucks and cars. He crammed a Cen Genisis engine into a Revo, that was sick would keep up with the CT4S but i was screwed when he hit the grass lol.
