OH MAN mikeHVAC. I could talk to you for hours now  What planes do you have/have had?

My favorites were my Parkzone F27 Stryker for flying wing giggles, my Yak-55 foamy for 3D flying anywhere I wanted, and for 20 bucks an airframe I could simply swap the electronics over to another once the plane was more glue than foam  and then my scratch built EPP Ultimate Biplane project. It never did get fully finished though, because I hit a road block in the build and didn't have the funds to continue. It had/has an awesome red, white, and blue paint scheme too. My dream planes have been an Airfoilz Edge and a brushless scratch built Stryker :) Parkzone's airframe, except with some extra Carbon Fiber rods everywhere and maybe glassing the bottom, with some metal gear servos and a bad*** brushless motor and lipo in there so I can make that sucker scream at 120+ mph :)

I'm thinking about getting a plane for xmas to get me back into it. I never did dabble in nitro/gas planes, only electric with gas cars/buggies.

Right on man. I had a small electric park flyer but thats about the only electric ive ever had.Im sure electric is really thriving especially with the LiPo batteries. I have a 33% edge 540 right now that im flying. Its an awesome plane! I have a p-51 mustang (i love the war birds). I still have my first airplane which was an "air vista." Its still running great. I used to have a U can Do 3d but i crashed that one . I have a small aresti 40 that will probably hit around 80mph safely. Then i have a helicopter that im still learning to fly haha.

Oh man helis are nuts to fly hahaha. I can hold my own in Realflight G3.5 with a heli, but in real life I can hover and fly it like a plane, and that's all I'm brave enough to do

I've always wanted a nitro plane, but I've never had the funds for them. Being in high school/college really limits my spending. I've had the joy of seeing a know-it -all at the flying field slam his Hangar 9 P51 PTS into a a maintenance facility :D That's about the limits of my nitro plane experience other than working at a hobby store. You should get a 3D foamy of some sort for small field/yard fun :) I've heard the Airfoilz Edge 540 flies almost like a larger nitro version.

I have flown one of those before....there probly the best electric fun fly plane ive ever seen/flown. I can Hover my heli upside down, you would probly like that. But ive ventured into boats, cars, planes and helis. If u ever get the chance and can afford it you should get into large scale gas. I cant describe what its like to fly an edge 540 with a 7ft wingspan and have it hover right above the run way.

I can hover inverted with helis on the simulator...but I've never attempted it in real life  I'm way too chicken for that. :)

When I have the space and the money, I would love to get into large scale planes. Right now I'd just like a fast flying wing or a backyard basher to toss around.
