Met a guy (young man, 20 something) that has a saltwater reef/fish , 125 gallons...He works at a biz I frequent..we talk about this hobby when I'm purchasing the DIY stuff where he works... try to get him on the forum and his response is..don't need to go to a forum, I never need any help."I know what I'm doing"..I say..well maybe you could help someone else with this vast amount of knowledge you have...that's all I got.. stick a fork in me ...I'm done. geeeeezzz :/

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
As a young adult I would have loved the resources a forum offers and to some extent the socialization. Guess some are more passionate about it than others and like to share. I sure appreciate the knowledge gained through forums (3reef mostly). Honestly I get a little protective of our 3reef family.

i only found out about any reefing forum fairly recently, within the past year or so. so far its changed alot of what i thought was correct or incorrect with the hobby. its amazing how misleading many books you purchase can be!

    Wow.

There will always be a market for books. It's just that the cutting edge stuff won't be cutting edge by the time it gets into those books.

IMO those are the kinda people you dont really want here anyhow... abrasive people only rough things up... I like the calm/helpful/grounded/caring peeps we have here.
