WOW! They are beautiful! I am not a real big SPS fan (she ducks flying debris) but I do LOVE the Monti Caps! I don't see alot of them either...yours are pretty colors, esp that second to last one! Does each color have a name or just like Orange Monti Cap, etc.?

What special needs do they have and what do they eat?

Did you get the new Canon you were talking about?

Looks Great Jason. Hey how fast can those grow?
I think I will add those to my list of frags to get. Let me know if one happens to fall into a shipping box. hehe.
    Just kidding,

I'm pretty sure a Cap is a Cap. But there is probably a scientific name for each colour.
i would say that Caps are fairly easy SPS to keep. they are found in a wide range of placed in the wild even in the murky waters of Hawaiian harbors.
I would suggest frags if you want to get on as the growth pattern depends on water flow. I you get a mother colony it very hard to mimic the flow that it had prior to your tank.
All 3 of my Caps were maybe 2 inch frags and now they are getting quite large. They are a lot of fun to watch grown.

No I didn't get the new Camera. Don't think I will. Buying a new house and that and a much bigger tank will eat up all my $$$ :)

Awesome J! I am so jealous. My monti cap is starting to grow in the new tank but not nearly as fast as my monti digitatas. I stare at it and say 'grow! grow!' but it's taking it's time.

    Great colors on yours.

By the Way. Dep is the donor of all these Frags. He runs a coral farm far too close to my house. He is also the one who lost a lot of brain cells building my Sump and Skimmer.
Becoming Friends with him has taken my Reef to new levels.

    Your a Reef GOD Jack.
