Chemipure is usually available at you LFS.

GFO stand for Granulated Ferric Oxide - it is used to control phosphates which generally fuel algae growth and harm fragile corals.

Yes the Euphyllia's do have sweeper tenticles. Usually a 6" radius around the mouth of the individual heads is a good buffer zone IMO.

I agree, the JBJ nano cube is better quality and is cheaper. Also I would definitely go with LED if you have the money.

I think I will just stick with the Bio-cube. I cant find the JBJ Nano cube locally, only online (Dont plan on ordering online). Thanks anyway.

The one thing about the the 29g Biocube I have noticed is that I really wish I had a hinged hood. I find myself dropping things and swearing more while trying to hold up the hood with one hand and move some rock in the back of it with the other. Other than that I have no problems. Though I would probably buy that JBJ if I didn't get it on sale.

I've only heard bad things about Oceanic Skimmers. I didn't get one and decided to get another manufacturers that a friend helped me find that would fit the back of my tank. Went with the Tunze 9002. Works great so far :)

Oh if you go that route, the cup is a weird size and you would want this as well

your choice but their are great specials online and I ordered one online from TB aquatics a month and a half ago and it was fine. You are going to have the tank for a long time presumably. The JBJ is a superior tank.

    A few more questions:

What do polyps and shrooms eat? I was going to feed the corals a squirt of a bottle of concentrated phytoplanktonic organisms, but since I dont know how they feed, I need advice. Ive heard that sometimes you dont have to feed the corals, the aquarium does it itself (by producing its own plankton), am I correct? Could I do that?

What do I need to be supplementing the corals as far a chemical go? What should I be testing for when It comes to a reef aquarium? What should the parameters be?

Now I was looking at corals, and the Candy cane coral and Pearl bubble coral interest me :) So would It be alright to get these? What do they need to be feed? Where do you think I would need to place them in the aquarium (Bottom, middle, top?)

    Thanks in advance.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Polyps(zoanthids) and mushrooms gain most of their nutritional value from zooxanthellea. Lighting is going to play the biggest role for those corals. I do not really target feed those corals.

To start all you need is a decent quality salt mix, ro/di and good test kit and instrument to measure the salinity. While the tank is young, after it has cycled you should test for ammonia before and a couples days after addition of new fish. Depending on the tank size you and what you keep will tell you how often to test.

SG I test at least every couple days. This is why a ATO is good.
Ammonia, nitrites and nitrates at least once a week with a new tank (cycled) and at the sign of any trouble.
Calcium, Magnesium, ALK: Always before I dose and sometimes in between water changes.
Phosphates if you are having any algae issues after the expected algae blooms have come and gone.
Personally I only test for pH if something else is out of wack.

I would start with the candy cane and see how that does.

Thanks for the advice! Do I have to suppliment calcium and magnesium or any other chems to the aquarium/corals or does it just come naturally? What does the Candy cane coral eat or how does it feed?

Hello? I have another question, RO/DI water, does it need to be de-chlorinated?
