    Nope, no need to supplement unless you have a lot of coralline, acropora or clams. Routine water changes with a decent salt mix should refresh the levels. Now if you are getting a number of stoney corals then consider dosing.

    Yes the water needs to de-chlorinated. Bottled RO/DI should be free of additives.

    Thanks! Could distilled water be an alternative than using rodi water?

    I used distilled pretty often when the local stores run out of RO/DI, never had a problem, and I would think I would see one (if there was a significant issue) as I have such a small volume of water. Hopefully someone else will chime in. I know I have heard that it changes the ionic balance but not to the detriment of my corals.
