the scooter blenny might starve, it took about 2 months before I saw my scooter blenny actually eat any prepared foods, i've had luck with mysis and brine shrimp, but normally he cruises around eating pods and such

Wow So many replies so fast, Thank you all very much!

Sorry i should have been more specific. i have a 20 gallon long tank (30"x12.5"x12.75").

Ok, so T5 setup. basically i plan to build my own lighting since the 20 gallon is built into a dyi stand i built for a 45 gallon. Any suggestions on combinations of lighting that most have found work best for all around tank benefit?
basically try to stick as much wattage as i can above the tank?

I do plan to do more research this upcoming weekend, as i said this was really just an impulse buy and i wanted to make sure i would not end up killing the fish because of it...

    what is RO/DI water?

as for the scooter i spoke with one of the guys from my lfs and he mentioned that they sell some kind of really tiny shrimp that i can seed my tank with. to my understanding they will breed and form a colony in my tank or sth? any thought on this for the scooter? are these pods? i did a quick google search and if i am correct i do have some of the tiny little critters in my tank already (as i said before, the first 2 months i had nothing in it but these tiny little things that are almost clear/white roaming my tank. I also have noticed some worms in my rock, will the scooter go after these also?

Again, thank all of you for the fast replies and warm welcomes :)

Oh I also noticed these white dots that seem to be growing on the glass of my tank and on some of the rocks... they are hard but i am able to scrap them off the glass (I only did the front of the tank for now) could these be the pods? or are they sth i should try to get rid of?

Great news everyone!! for the first time since I bought the scooter blenny (3 days ago) I finally saw him accept my frozen brineshrimp! ;D

I started yesterday adding 1 drop of Zoecon and 3-4 drops of Zoe to the food. idk if that has anything to do with it or if its just by chance but i wanted to share.
