Some sort of algae/macro takingover my tank

    hey guys, is this bryopsis or something else? its taking over.... im planning to add magnesium chloride to increase mag levels..... what are these? anything else i can do? the are really hard to pull.....

    If it is bryopsis I have read the only Mag that works is the Kent Tech M magnesium, there is something about that particular formula. I can't help with the I.D. but I can say that does not look like the green hair algae I had.

    tech m has many other stuff alongwith mag. im afraid as i read the ingridients and it has copper and chlorine.

    The bottle I have neither lists copper or chlorine as an ingredient. Where may I ask did you see that?

    IMO bryopsis has more of a fern/feathery look, that looks like some kind of sea grass or something. (NOT MY PIC)

    We can kill it easily with peroxide, see any peroxide thread for details. I would not use any other method.
