This Guy is in like a clam/muscle shell and I noticed it a few days ago on a rock but today this Guy was cruising all over my glass!? The shell would split open a little and the snail like body would peak out and hook to the glass.. pic isnt the best phone wouldn't focus

It could be a stomotapod or however you spell it. If so, then its harmless.

I'm not sure I know what your looking at. The only thing I see other than the fish is the astrea snail. A better & more direct picture perhaps?

A stomatopod (aka mantis shrimp) definitely does not fall into the harmless category. They are strick carnavores, and resemble a shrimp/lobster. I have 2 a wennerae and a peacock and neither have a snail like appearance and nor stick to the glass.

Not sure I can find him again. It looks like two small sea shells closed together its the thing stuck on the glass below the protein Skimmer box in the pic

Can't tell much from your pic, but there are a handful of bivalves that can climb the glass. None of them are harmful, of course. There are a couple of cryptic families that climb which look like the shells are encased in jelly. They normally hide under rocks, and are rarely seen. The most common climbers in aquaria are probably some of the small Ark Clams. They are normally attached under rocks, but if they are moved to a location they don't like (or where they aren't getting what they want to eat) the may detach and go on the prowl. If you can get a clear pic of the shell, I can probably ID it for you.

    Cheers,

    Don

I would have to agree with Don/pagojoe. I will give you this link though Bivalvia - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia it has a bunch of information on bivalves. They always look pretty neat when they do swim. I would think that is it possible for one to anchor to the glass some how with the muscle. There is a lot to something that looks so simple. Perhaps you have yourself a tiny scallop.
